This
position is from G. Marks-M. Waterhouse, Harrogate A v. Wakefield A, Yorkshire
League 1997. White has just played 29.Qh3 aiming to play Qh6 and then Rxe6 but
after a little thought I realised that I had a brilliant reply. What was
it?
29...Qf2!! The Queen cannot be taken by the Rook because of Rc1+ followed by Mate and if he tries Rb1 then again Rc1+ leads to Mate, so White loses his Bishop. The game continued 30. Rfe1 Qxb2 and White resigned 7 moves later.
