Walter Waddelow

FLACK – Irene Grace (nee Enefer), passed away in her sleep at Royal Colombian Hospital on December 27th, 2000, in her 87th year. Born in Vancouver on September 14th, 1914. Predeceased by her mother Sarah, (1925), stepmother Florence (1972) father Jesse (1974) Infant brothers William Manning and Benjamin George, and her long time friend Michael Shabatowsky (New Years Day, 2000). Sadly missed by her children Jerry Vernon (Louise), Sharon Couper (Walter), Grandchildren Laura, (James) Rob (Kathy) Kelly and Steve (Paula), great grandchildren Kimberly Siara and Kyla and many cousins. Irene was a member of the Vancouver Pioneers Association and the 411 Seniors Centre and Glee Singers. She enjoyed the last year of her life at Canada Way Lodge in Burnaby. Thanks to Drs. Yue and Ligertwood and the nurses and staff of RCH 5-North. Funeral service was held on Thursday 4th January 2001 at the Hamilton-Harron Funeral Centre 5390 Fraser Avenue. Donations were requested to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon

ENEFER – Ted (Edward Lawrence) passed away peacefully in his sleep on the afternoon of 21st September 2000 aged 81 years. Ted will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 57 years, Clare; three daughters, Lea Enefer, Marline (Doug) Williamson and Charlein (Peter) Mansfield; four grandchildren, Angela Michelle Katherine and Paul; sister Laurene Lothian and brother Jack. Ted was predeceased by his parents Joe and Amy Enefer, sister Nellie Waters and brother Alf. Ted lived all his life in South Hill where he worked 34 years as a letter carrier at Station "O" on Fraser Street. An avid soccer player and fan. Ted was a member of the 1946-47 St. Andrews Football Club that was added to the Honour Roll of Teams of the BC Sports Hall of Fame. The Funeral service was held Wednesday 27th September 2000, followed by a reception at Hamilton-Harron Funeral Centre, 5390 Fraser Street, (at 38th Ave.)

ENEFER – Celine, passed away into the presence of her Lord on September 27th, 2000, aged 87 years. Predeceased by her sisters Maude, Minnie and Mabel; brothers Ernie and Edward. Survived by four sisters, Agnes, Grace, Edna and Lillian and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held in Heather Bible Chapel, 777 W. 68th Ave., Vancouver, on Tuesday 3rd October 2000. She was buried at Ocean View Burial Park. In Celine’s memory, donations where requested to be made to Anvil Island Bible Camp or the Canadian Cancer Society.
